Every year for almost a decade now Susan and I have been taking an extended summer weekend to go canoe camping in the Adirondacks, often with our oldest granddaughter, Zoya, joining us. This year she was busy, so it was a “honeymoon” getaway for us. We chose a new location, Indian Lake, and had a marvelous time wilderness camping at a remote campsite, far away from the baying crowd.
